Manchester Temporal Bone Surgery Course

Welcome

It is our pleasure to present the Manchester Skull Base Surgery Course. The course has been designed to provide high quality training to senior specialist registrars, hospital specialist doctors and consultants from the UK and abroad who wish to develop their skills in anterior, central and lateral skull base surgery. The faculty consists of members of the Manchester skull base team.

It is held at the Manchester Surgical Skills and Simulation Centre at the University of Manchester, a state of the art skills centre specifically designed with this type of course in mind. The focus of the course is on surgical technique and the number of places is limited to 13 dissection delegates and 6 observing delegates in order to ensure a high faculty to delegate ratio maximising learning opportunities for delegates. High quality formalin flushed specimens that have had their vessels injected will be used.

This year we are also offering the opportunity for an ENT/Neurosurgical team to share a specimen. This will allow the team to learn together and has the added benefit of a reduced delegate fee.

The course has been approved for 58 CPD points by ENTUK.

We very much hope that you will be able to attend.

With very best wishes on behalf of the Manchester Skull Base Unit.
